BioInvest Europe
BioInvest Europe is a specialised marketing support service for startups seeking to raise investments. It helps innovative foodtech and biotech startups become more visible to relevant funders and investors and increase their chances of being noticed and considered for investment opportunities across Europe. Building on the experience of the BioeconomyVentures project, BioInvest Europe combines sector expertise, targeted promotion and investor-oriented communication to help high-potential startups present their technologies, businesses and growth opportunities in a way that speaks to investors.
About the project
BioInvest Europe is run by Magfi in collaboration with the non-profit Irish Bioeconomy Foundation (IBF). The service supports startups in strengthening their investor visibility and preparing for meaningful conversations around potential funding.
It is designed for companies working across areas such as foodtech, industrial biotech, sustainable ingredients, precision fermentation, alternative proteins and innovative materials.
BioInvest Europe is not an investment fund and does not provide financial advice. Instead, it supports startups with the marketing, positioning and visibility needed to reach relevant investors.
Activities include startup scouting and screening, investor-oriented content and promotion, and support around investor-facing opportunities. BioInvest Europe has also partnered multiple times with major European events, including Pitch Perfect & Boost the European Bioeconomy, organised by Bio Base Europe Plant (BBEPP) in Ghent, and BIOKET, organised by Bioeconomy for Change (B4C), to increase the visibility of selected startups among relevant investment audiences.
WHAT BIOINVEST EUROPE AIMS TO ACHIEVE
BioInvest Europe aims to address a common challenge for early-stage and growing startups: having a strong technology is not enough if the right investors do not notice it.
The service helps startups strengthen how they communicate their technology, market opportunity, business model and growth potential, making their investment proposition clearer and more relevant to investors.
Through targeted marketing and promotional activities, BioInvest Europe helps selected startups gain visibility among investors actively looking for opportunities in foodtech and biotech.
The focus is not simply on one-off pitching opportunities, but on building sustained visibility for promising companies and creating more opportunities for investor conversations and potential funding.
By making relevant startups easier for investors to find and assess, BioInvest Europe supports the development and commercialisation of innovative solutions across Europe’s foodtech and biotech sectors.
